Our Purpose
St. Joseph Health Ministries improves the health of children in need within
Lancaster County.
WEAR A BUTTON FOR ‘POWER OF A SMILE WEEK’
“Power of a Smile Week” is coming to Lancaster County the week of June 14.
What to wear? A smile, of course, and a free collectible Power of a Smile button courtesy of St. Joseph Health Ministries. The 2-inch buttons will be available at all Lancaster County public libraries beginning Friday (June 12), while supplies last.
Wearing a button will help to raise awareness of the importance of oral health, for children and adults alike. Click here if you want to give the gift of a healthy smile to someone you love.
Power of a Smile Week complements St. Joseph Health Ministries’ children’s oral health initiative, “Brush. Brush. Smile!” Since its debut in 2004, Brush. Brush. Smile!® has provided nearly $2.5 million worth of free dental care and oral health education to more than 16,000 children in Lancaster County’s 16 school districts.

Did you know…
Did you know that an estimated 19,000 at-risk children in Lancaster County never visit a dentist even once a year? Low income children are twice as likely to have untreated decay. Repeatedly, science has proven that oral health affects a child’s overall health, well-being and development. That's why we've created the Brush. Brush. Smile!® program. |
